TFS To TFS Step By Step

This mini manual show how to import source control items from one TFS to another TFS.

1. Download TfsToTfs Tool from http://www.codeplex.com/tfstotfsmigration
2. Install the tool using the setup provided.
    - During instalation It's necessary to insert a user and password, this user and password will be used to create two SQL server databases ex. user: AG-VM-VISTA\virtualmachine pass: virtualmachine confirmation: virtualmachine
    - The Instalation Will Install one tool, one windows service and two SQL server Data Base
3. Run the tool from Start - All Programs - TFS To TFS Migration Tool.



4. Click in New Button



5. Select Version Control



6. Insert Source and Destination TFS servers
7. Select Source and Destination Team Projects
8. Click Button Add



9. Select Source and Destination Version Control Folder
10. Click Ok



11. Click Button Save



12. Select the Migration Session From the list and click Start One Time.

In background a Windows Service will be running and will import source control items from one TFS to another TFS.
The migration activity tab displays migration details.
